Code of Conduct

At TEDxPrinceton, every participant—attendee, speaker, volunteer, and partner—shares responsibility for upholding an environment defined by mutual respect, personal dignity, and intellectual openness. Your presence here affirms your commitment to these principles, which form the foundation of our shared experience.

Participation in this event does not imply access to another’s time, attention, or story and consent governs every interaction.

You will not use this platform to promote services, products, or causes outside the scope of the program. TEDxPrinceton is a space for the exchange of ideas, not the advancement of personal agendas.

When someone shares a personal story or sensitive experience in conversation, it is their right to define how far that story travels beyond this space.

Your conduct must contribute to an environment where every person is treated with respect and consideration, without regard to background or identity.

Certain behaviors are incompatible with the values of TEDxPrinceton and will not be tolerated. These include:

The invasion of privacy, including unauthorized photography, unsolicited requests for selfies, capturing screenshots of private conversations, or sharing personal details without consent.

Disruptive conduct, excessive intoxication, stalking, following, or threatening another person.

Abuse of power in any form, including leveraging position, wealth, race, gender, or influence to intimidate or demean.

Ignoring health and safety guidelines, thereby placing yourself or others at risk.

Expressions of homophobia, racism, sexism, or any behavior that discriminates against a person or group.

Sexual harassment, including unwelcome sexual attention, inappropriate physical contact, or suggestive remarks.

If you witness or experience a violation of these standards, we ask that you report the incident to a member of the TEDxPrinceton team or via email at TEDxPrinceton2026@gmail.com. Reports will be handled with discretion.

TEDxPrinceton will investigate all reports of violations thoroughly. Any individual found in violation of this Code of Conduct may be removed from the event without refund and barred from future participation. This policy exists to ensure the safety, dignity, and meaningful participation of every person present.
